Shakudo ishime, carved in takabori and inlaid with Fujiyama towering over a pine copse, details in silver and gilt, signed Mitsutomi han, 7cm (2¾in). Shibuichi, inlaid in iroe takazogan with Jo and Uba on the beach at Takasago, signed Masayuki, gyonen shichi-ju-ichi-o (an old man of 71), 6.7cm (2 5/8in). Iron, carved and inlaid with Tawara Toda about to slay a dragon on a bridge, the reverse with birds flying past a pine copse, details of gold, silver and shakudo takazogan, signed Nara saku, 7.3cm (2 7/8in). Iron, of large size, inlaid on the hammered ground with a large crab in copper takazogan, its eyes and pincers of shakudo, signed with a kao,8.3cm (3¼in).
