A crocodile skin travelling case with composite 9 carat gold mounted fittings, the cover gilt initialled 'MG', the blue watered silk fitted interior fitted with: a pair of hairbrushes and oval hand mirror (lacking glass) by Horton & Allday, Birmingham 1909, engraved 'Sponsor 6.6.10, 8.5.09' and 'Tegbage 19.06.09'; a pair of clothes brushes, London 1910, engraved 'Sponsor 20.04.11 and 5.8.10'; a pair of cut glass globular scent bottles with screw covers London 1910, engraved 'Sponsor 9.6.19', 10.5cm (4in) high; a glass powder bowl with lift off cover, London 1909, engraved 'Brandiminpine 4.4.10'; a travelling watch case by Charles & Walter Padgett London 1910, engraved 'Maud', with a chrome cased Waltham 'goliath' watch; a gold plated circular box and hinged cover by Elkington & Co., with an egg-and-dart border and engraved 'Brandiminpine 15.4.10'; a stationary folder, enclosing embossed notepaper; and two luggage labels 'Gilroy, 12 Park Street, London W1', the case 45.5cm (18in) wide
