patent design 1908, model early 20th Century, with three-pillar single-spring key-wind motor with shaped top-plates, the course-surface variable gear wheel with crown cog for forward/reverse switch, brake damper with linkage to pad control and the main U lever operating free-spinning wheel through manual clutch for outer-edge wheel engagement-to-centre drive, slide and return for reverse procedure, mounted on stained and varnished baseboard, load-wheel to the right with groove cog for a belt; with three technical pencil drawings of the essential parts; and a motoring catalogue of sale dated 24 February 1976, Christies featuring this as lot 342, the baseboard still baring this number - 9in. (22.9cm) wide, 4in. (10cm) high
