Lot Description: A Dramatic Fan , the leaf in aubergine cotton, shaped and cut away to follow the form of blousy pansies with orange stamens, gold highlights and gold painted wood sticks. Together with A Large White Gauze Fan painted with delicate pale pink dog roses and foliage, with the initial "H" painted in complementing colours to the left of the leaf. Simple wood sticks, painted white with silvering; and A Faux Tortoiseshell Fan in ballon form, the black net leaf mounted à l'Anglaise and overlaid with cream silk in parts, the central cartouche painted with an assignation of a pair of young lovers by a well, the reserves embroidered with metal threads and sequins of differing shapes and forms. (3) Condition Report: . The first fan leaf needs to be reglued fully to the guards. The leaf on the third fan is shattered but holding due to the extensive embroidery. ARR: Categories: Fans
