FIRST HALF 18TH CENTURY, THE FIRST POSSIBLY BOHEMIA OR SOUTHERN NETHERLANDS AND THE SECOND WITH THE GLASS SAXONY
A façon de Venise beaker vase and a Dutch-engraved faceted gilt goblet FIRST HALF 18TH CENTURY, THE FIRST POSSIBLY BOHEMIA OR SOUTHERN NETHERLANDS AND THE SECOND WITH THE GLASS SAXONY The first with flaring body, the upper part with matt-engraved upper part and enameled with biblical scenes with the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, with the discovery of the Infant Moses by the Pharaoh's daughter, with Christ preaching in the fields, the lower part with slightly oblique gadroons in relief, 16.3 cm. high, the second with a bell bowl with a gilt scene of a gentleman smoking a long calumet and a lady seated at a laid table, upon a vignette flanked by flower branches, underneath the inscription DAT ONS WEL MAG GAAN IN ONSE OUWE DAGEN , 'That we may prosper in our old age', the lower part faceted, the multi-knopped stem enclosing an elongated tear, conical folded foot (traces of gilt), 22.2 cm. high (2)
