A FINE AND RARE MOULDED MELON-FORM QINGBAI EWER SONG DYNASTY (960-1279) The ewer is potted in the shape of a melon. The upper section is moulded with a sinuous, bi-furcated, Chi dragon. The dragon's arched body forming the handle over the circular mouth of the vessel. Its head is modelled upturned with the mouth agape forming the aperture of the spout. Covered in a glaze of bluish-celadon tone with exception of the flat base. 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.) high, Japanese wood box
