BLACK POWDER EXPRESS) DOUBLE-BARRELLED 'NON-FOULING SMOOTH OVAL BORE RIFLING' ROTARY-UNDERLEVER HAMMER RIFLE CHARLES LANCASTER, 151 NEW BOND STREET, LONDON, SERIAL NO. 05506, CIRCA 1885 With reblacked 28 in. (71 cm.) black powder only barrels, action with carved percussion fences, bolted back-action locks, border engraved throughout, retaining much original case-hardened finish, figured 14 ½ in. semi-pistolgrip stock, weight 8 lbs 9 7/8 oz., in lined and fitted oak case, possibly original, with some accessories including bullet mould serial numbered to the rifle, the lid with trade labels of Lancaster and W. Smith
