A FINE CASED 54-BORE DEANE HARDING PATENT FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER BY DEANE & SON, LONDON BRIDGE, SERIAL NO. 25032, CIRCA 1863 With blued octagonal sighted barrel, blued border engraved top-strap signed 'DEANE & SON, LONDON BRIDGE', blued serial numbered cylinder, border engraved blued frame signed 'DEANE HARDING PATENT NO. 25032' on the right side, the barrel assembly secured to the frame by a threaded screw passing through the top-strap and frame-lug, blued safety-stop, bright hammer, chequered figured walnut butt, case-hardened butt-cap, blued trigger-guard, blued Harding patent loading-lever, and much original finish, London proof marks, in fitted oak case lined in green baize with some accessories including brass double-cavity bullet-mould, Dixon pistol-flask and case-hardened oil bottle, the exterior with circular brass escutcheon engraved 'W.B. RHODES' 6in (15.2cm) barrel
