A FINE & RARE CASED PAIR OF SWISS 11.5mm FLINTLOCK RIFLED OFFICER'S PISTOLS FRANZ ULRICH, BERN, CIRCA 1806 With 7 ½ in. (19 cm.) signed case-hardened swamped octagonal barrels each with multigroove rifling, two inlaid gold lines at the breech and gold-lined touch-hole, tangs each with two-leaf rear-sight and respectively numbered '3A' and '3B', border engraved signed case-hardened locks each with roller and gold-lined rainproof pan, set triggers, figured walnut full stocks, case-hardened mounts, vacant shield-shaped silver escutcheons, original silver-tipped steel ramrods, and nearly all their original finish throughout, in original close-fitted veneered case lined with green fabric, with original accessories including bullet-mould numbered '3' and horn pistol-flask, accompanied by a framed printed Franz Ulrich price list dated 1804, the reverse with hand annotated loading notes for this pair of pistols and a test target dated '1806'
