A FINE SILVER COVERED MEAT-DISH WITH FIGURAL BIRD-FORM HANDLE DESIGNED BY HARALD NIELSEN CIRCA 1931, MADE BY GEORG JENSEN SILVERSMITHY, POST-1945 Oval, the domed cover set with a cast handle formed as a stylized bird eating from a spray of berries, the rim step-molded, on an oval dish with a smooth rim and applied molding, marked 600S--8 1/2in. high, 18 3/8in. long (129 oz.) A covered dish of this model with a stylized fish handle is illustrated in Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., Fifty Years of Danish Silver , Museum of Modern Art, p. 18.
