A FINE SILVER SOUP TUREEN AND COVER Maker's mark of Frederick Marquand, New York, circa 1830 Oval bomb form, the four paw and ball feet headed by acanthus, the everted rim applied with dense band of flowers, leaves and scrolls, the two bracket handles cast and chased as grapevine capped by a rose, the domed cover with an acanthus calyx surmounted by a floral ring handle, each side of the body engraved with a coat-of-arms, crest and motto, the cover engraved with crests, marked under base 15in. long over handles; 125oz.
