A FINELY-DETAILED EXHIBITION-STANDARD 1:128 SCALE STATIC DISPLAY MODEL OF H.M.S. LION , DEPICTED AFTER HER REFIT OF 1918 modelled by John R. Haynes with details including masts, radio aerial, signal halyards, rigging, three stayed anchors with 'D' chains and capstans, deck rails, ventilators, wash deflector, main and secondary armament, superstructure with range finders, fire control turrets, enclosed bridge with search lights, binnacles and glazed chart box over, three stayed funnels with safety valve extension pipes, ladders and top frames, assorted ships's boats with internal fittings including two life boats swung out on davits and three steam pinnaces, two detailed bi-planes stowed over third and fourth gun turrets and much other fine detailing. The moulded hull with lined deck, simulated plating, portholes, bilge keels, sponsen eyelets, scupper pipes, four steel shafts on 'A' brackets to three-blade brass propellers and twin rudders, is mounted on four turned brass columns within maghogany-bound glazed display case with legend. Overall measurements -- 21 x 75in. (53.5 x 190cm.) See illustration
