A finely engineered and detailed well presented approx. 1:20 scale model of the Weatherhill Pit winding Engine of 1833, built by W.K. Walsome -- 19in. x 14½in.(48 x 37cm) Complete with brass cylinder approx. 3/4in. bore x 2.14in. stroke, separate valve chest and steamways, crank driven lift-off valve actuating rod, piston rod tail shaft guide, barrelled connecting rod, faceted crank mounted on wooden frame supported by four turned columns, rope and gear driven Watt type governor with linkage and valve and cast flywheel. Further details include piston rod and valve spindle stuffing boxes with studs and square headed nuts. Finished in varnish and polished brightwork
