A FRENCH GOLD BONBONNIERE BY TOUSSAINT-FRANÇOIS PILLIEUX (FL. 1786-1813), MARKED, WITH THE EXCISE AND THIRD STANDARD MARKS FOR GOLD, PARIS 1798-1809, AND THE POST-REVOLUTIONARY UNOFFICIAL STANDARD MARK FOR 18 CARAT GOLD, AND THE 'RECENSE' FOR SMALL OBJECTS, PARIS 1809-1819 Circular box, the independent cover and base engine-turned with concentrically radiating sunrise, the sides with similar horizontal reeding, all panels framed with waves and flutes, the sablé borders chased with polished gold lozenges alternating with quatrefoil lozenges and triangles 2 5/16 in.
