A FRENCH SILVER SAUCEBOAT PARIS, 1798-1809, MAKER'S MARK OF JEAN-NICOLAS BOULENGER Of oval form, the spreading navet-form base with palmette border and rising to a palmette knop, with reeded rim and flying scroll acanthus handle applied with anthemion and headed by an exotic mask, applied under the lip with similar anthemion, engraved with a later monogram, marked under base, on foot, rim and interior--11 1/4in.
