A George I/II burr elm and walnut bureau cabinet, concave moulded cornice above a pair of shaped rectangular raised and fielded panelled doors, fall ... front with matched veneers, enclosing a well and a stepped arrangement of pigeon holes and small drawers, above two-short and two long graduated moulded drawers, crossbanded throughout and outlined with herringbone stringing, skirted base, shaped bracket feet, 192cm high, 96cm wide, c.1730 . Condition Report: lightly repolished, top and base an old marriage, a couple of patches of veneer on front of left hand door, polished inside, doors with blocked holes where handles have been in different plates, various areas of re-veneering, basically a nice piece of furniture from a private home which has had some renovation Read more
