A GEORGE I SILVER TANKARD MARK OF HUMPHREY PAYNE, LONDON, 1723 The front engraved with baroque coat-of-arms within foliate cartouche, sides applied with a narrow girdle, handle engraved with contemporary initials R*R ; together with a George III provincial silver mug, mark of William Stalker and John Mitchison, Newcastle, 1774, handle engraved with contemporary intitals B over E*A 6¾ in. (17.2 cm.) high 30.5 oz. (946 gr.) The tankard is engraved with the arms and initials of Richard Rutter of Moor Hall, Cheshire. (2)
