A George III silver-gilt cruet-stand The cruet-frame with mark of William Burwash and Richard Sibley London, 1808, the bottle-mounts with mark of William Burwash, London, 1812 The square frame with cut-corners and on four detachable winged lion's paw and sphinx feet, with rosette and husk border and fluted rim, with detachable central rosette and serpent handle, fitted with four cut-glass bottles and stopper, each with fluted foot-mount with anthemion rim and with double serpent scroll handle, the frame engraved twice with a coat-of-arms and a crest, marked on frame, detachable bottle holders, bottle mounts and feet 11in. (28cm.) high The frame 85oz. (2,654gr.) The arms are those of Featherstonhaugh for Sir Harry Featherstonhaugh (d.1846) of Uppark, Sussex (6)
