A George III silver-gilt egg frame Mark of John Emes London, 1806 Oblong and on four anthemion feet, with four caduceus supports and fluted borders, with central laurel, acanthus and duke's coronet finial, fitted with six vase-shaped egg-cups, each engraved with a crest with duke's coronet above, marked on frame and cups 7¾in. (19.8cm.) high 36oz. (1,140gr.) The crest is that of Howard for Charles, 11th Duke of Norfolk K.G. (1746-1815) (7)
