A GEORGE IV SILVER-MOUNTED GLASS NECESSAIRE DE VOYAGE, London, 1827, some pieces with the marker's mark of Douglas, the rectangular brass bound rosewood case inlaid with a brass escutcheon engraved with a coat-of-arms and motto, the red velvet interior fitted with six various silver-gilt mounted cut-glass boxes, the covers with engine-turning surrounding a blank cartouche, three with pierced foliate scroll decoration, two silver-gilt mounted cut-glass travelling ink wells, one larger, and four cut-glass bottles with fitted stoppers and silver-gilt covers, the interior cover fitted with a leather bound mirror and pocket, the case interior with a brass plaque stamped L. LEUCHARS, Maker to Her Majesty, 38 Picadilly, London, also stamped J. BRAMAH, 194 PICADILLY, marked on box and inkwell covers, the bottle covers unmarked--15in. (38.1cm.) long
