A GEORGE V FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE WITH AN AMERICAN SILVER TEA URN, the service London, 1914, maker's mark of Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., the tea urn stamped STERLING, comprising tea pot, coffee pot, two handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each inverted pear form, on circular foot, the lower body chased with acanthus centered bellflower frieze, the mid section chased with ribbon tied bellflower swag, centering one side paterae, the other with oval husk bordered monogrammed cartouche also engraved with dates 1892-1907 , with gadrooning to base and rim, the pots with bone scroll handle, leaf clad spout, the hinged partly domed cover with conforming acanthus and bellflower band, topped by beaded bud finial-- the coffee pot 11½in. (29.2cm.) high , the vase form urn on square monogrammed, base issuing four leaf stiff leaf scroll supports, with stiff leaf bands to the lower body, shoulder and detachable raised cover, topped by flame form finial, the mid section with similar swags to service, panelled spout with ivory handle, and with two leaf clad partly reeded handle-- 13¾in. (34.9cm.) high, gross weight 136.5oz.
