A GERMAN SILVER GILT PARTIAL TEA AND BREAKFAST SERVICE WITH PARTIAL FLATWARE SERVICE, maker's mark of Gebr. Friedlander, comprising tea kettle, stand and lamp, two handled covered sugar bowl, tea strainer on stand, and pair of egg cups; six circular plates, and a shaped circular salver with two cut outs for handles-- 9¾in. (24.7cm.) diam. , all but dishes panelled, all with applied berried laurel rim, the baluster kettle with partly fluted and foliate wrapped scroll spout, part ivory swing handle, the hinged domed cover topped by beaded bud finial, on circular stand raised on four part foliate and reeded tapering supports, with detachable covered burner-- kettle on stand over handle 14in. (35.5cm.) high, gross weight 143oz. ; the fiddle pattern flatware with berried laurel border comprising sixes of: forks, spoons and knives with (apparently) steel blades, and three serving pieces comprising: a pair of sugar tongs, a lemon pick and a jelly spoon-- weighable silver for flatware 16.5 , total gross weight of weighable silver-- 159.5oz.
