A gilt bronze-mounted ''Boulle'' marquetry bracket clock Print 19th century, the cast gilt brass dial signed ''Jacquier a Paris'', inset with white enamel hour cartouches with blue Roman numerals and incised with Arabic minute track, attached to a twin barrel movement with verge escapement stamped to backplate ''Jacquier a Paris'', within a waisted glazed case applied with flowers and scrolls and a figure of Cupid, the domed top surmounted by a further figure of Cupid, with key, 30.75'' H x 14.25'' W x 6.25'' D, est: $4000/6000 Condition: General marks, scratches and wear. Lifting and shrinkage cracks to veneer. Lifting to a large section of brass veneer on domed top and to brass veneer on one side of base. A break and lifting to a section of molding mount on domed top. Scattered small losses and chips to veneer. Chipped losses and woodworm holes to rear door of case. Mounts appear associated and later. Mounts re-gilt. Some mount screws replaced. Glass later and replaced. Movement complete. Working condition unknown. Moran's does not guarantee working condition of clocks and watches.
