First Edition. An important compendium of Old Master & 19th century paintings of golf in play and golf equipment as part of home scenery in numerous Dutch, Scottish & British works. Publisher's "Suggestions for those who wish to Frame" tipped-in on the rear inside cover, as issued. Donovan & Murdoch 13890. Formerly sold as a duplicate from the U.S.G.A. Library. Lot Amendments Condition: Wear and rubbing to spine ends and joints with foot chipped, corners bumped, soiling, top portion of tie-string binding broken at rear; plates fine and bright, else very good.
