A good 19th-Century precision beam balance, with an ivory plaque for LYNCH & C O LONDON , detachable brass column and beam, brass and glass pans, mahogany drawer base with green felt-lining ( distressed ) housing apothecary and other weights with a manuscript list -- 26.3 x 13.5cm. (10 3/8 x 5¼in.) ; an early 20th-Century precision beam balance with detachable steel beam stamped CLASS B TO WEIGHT 202 , brass pans, index and ivorine scale, with a wooden drawer base -- 26 x 13.5cm. (10¼ x 5 3/8in.) ; a 19th-Century handheld steel beam balance with glass pans, in a blue felt-lined mahogany case, with a selection of apothecary weights -- 18 x 18.5cm. (7 1/8 x 3 3/8in.) ; a handheld beam balance; and two lacquered-brass and one steel set of nested weights. See Illustration (7)
