the inverted bell top applied with a scrolled mount over a moulded cornice, twin glazed side apertures and handles on a moulded base, the 9 inch arched brass dial with a choice of six tunes comprising 'Wilhelmus V Nassau, Vijn Pars, Goedenaventmy Lieve Tootsie, Miller V:Mandffield, Aria del Trompedo and Kees My Vryer' over a painted rolling moon, the Roman and Arabic dial flanked by subsidiaries for 'slaan/Niet Slaan' and Speelen/Niet Speelen, the matted centre with mock pendulum and date apertures, the substantial triple gut fusee movement with verge escapement striking the hours on a large and a small bell on the hour and half hour and playing a choice of six tunes on 13 bells and hammers via a 6.75 inch pinned barrel mounted across the top of the scroll- and foliate-engraved backplate 55cms (21.75ins) high
