John Taylor London, the movement numbered 2264 Arched top with a moulded cornice over fish scale side frets and a moulded plinth base to brass ogee bracket feet, the arched dial door with a gilt brass bezel framing the 4.5 inch enamel Roman dial with minute track and brass hands, set within mask and foliate scroll spandrels below an arch set with an enamel subsidiary dial to engage strike or silent, the triple chain fusee movement measuring just 5.5 by 4.5 inches and united by six knopped pillars, now converted to anchor escapement, rack striking the hours on a bell and chiming the quarters on a nest of eight bells and hammers, the backplate with a line border enclosing asymmetric foliate scrolls and a basket of fruit with signature below 34.5cm (13.5in) high to the top of the handle, 30.5cm (12in) to the top of the arch
