A GREEK MARBLE PORTRAIT BUST OF A QUEEN PTOLEMAIC PERIOD, CIRCA 3RD CENTURY B.C. Her head turned slightly to her right and inclined, her graceful neck with subtle "Venus" lines, the shoulders bare, her oval face with soft youthful features, her almond-shaped unarticulated eyes beneath heavy upper lids, the modelled brows merging with the slender nose, her fleshy lips pressed together and indented at the corners, her chin rounded, the center-parted wavy hair with the sides pulled back over her ears and bound in a double fillet, the lower centered by a medallion, and likely once arranged into a chignon at the back, the top of her hair flattened and drilled with two mortises for attachment of a now-missing attribute 6½ in.
