A group of Ancient Near Eastern stone seals Circa 900 B.C. - 600 A.D. Including a Babylonian chalcedony domed faceted stamp seal, engraved with a figure before an altar, 25mm; an Assyrian banded agate cylinder seal engraved with a beast-tamer with arms outstretched holding a mythological winged rearing creature in each hand, 23mm; an early black stone stamp seal carved with a quadruped, another with two figures, and seven other stone items, some with some re-cutting; and a string of Sasanian stamp seals, mostly of veined agate and haematite and carved with animals and floral motifs, circa 3rd-5th Centuries A.D., 23mm, largest diam; a Sasanian carnelian stone ring, finger size 'I'; a group of thirteen bone objects, including a Roman bone lidded cylindrical pyxis, decorated with wheel-cut bands, circa 1st-2nd Century A.D., 1in (2.5cm) high; nine bone spindle whorls, two tabular beads and a rectangular pendant decorated with circle and dot motifs, Coptic - Byzantine Periods, 4cm maximum diam; a miscellaneous group of scarabs and scaraboids, including Phoenician, Levantine and Egyptian examples, after 600 B.C., and some Not Ancient, and seven Near Eastern bronze zoomorphic bangles, all of similar penannular form, with facing animal head terminals, some feline, and others with the heads of horned quadrupeds or serpents, circa 1st Millennium B.C., 43/8in (11cm) maximum diam (a lot)
