a group of attic and South Italian red-figure vase fragments Mainly 5th Century B.C. A: Cup fragment, with doric capital and architrave, a hand with knotted staff, mid 5th Century B.C., 2in. (5.1cm.) high B: Large cup fragment, attributed to the Aberdeen Painter , interior: tondo with altar, hand of Apollo and faun within laurel border, (repaired from fragments with restoration), 440-430 B.C., 7in. (17.8cm.) long max. incl. handle C: Cup fragment, youth in three-quarter view from the back, holding cloak, leaning on knotted staff, red fillet in hair, 470-460 B.C., 2¼in. (5.7cm.) long D: Cup fragment, naked youth standing in profile, holding staff, drapery over left shoulder, white hair fillet, 460-450 B.C., 2¾in. (7cm.) wide E: Part of legs and buttock of a crouching naked figure, 1 3/8in, (3.5cm.) wide Fi-ii: Fragments from a cup, two draped female figures with krotala in their hands, part of a male draped figure with staff, 440-430 B.C., 3 7/8in. (9.8cm.) and 2in. (5.1cm.) wide respectively G: Handle fragment from cup, potted by Hieron, black glazed with incised inscription (IERON EPOIE), 500-475 B.C., 2in. (5.1cm.) wide H: Cup fragment, interior: lower calves and feet of a naked athlete, meander below, exterior: lower part of a draped figure and part of a naked male figure, 3¾in. (9.5cm.) wide I: Fragment, right shoulder of draped figure, cross ornament, 1in. (2.5cm.) wide J: Fragment, part of draped figure seated on a rock, 500-475 B.C., 1¾in. (4.5cm.) wide K: South Italian cup fragment repaired from three pieces, interior: meander band, within winged eros with both hands resting on the head of a wreathed youth, exterior: ground line with feet of draped youth and lower half of naked youth, added white, 4in.
