Comprising a Balkan dagger with single-edged blade etched with an inscription along the back on one side and with a fish, a further inscription and the date '1818' along the other, cast brass hilt with bud-shaped quillons, and integral grip and pommel of pistol form, in its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with deep brass locket and chape each applied with white-metal panels variously pierced and nielloed with figures, double-headed eagles and foliage, all within twisted brass wire borders, and with suspension chain; a Moro klewang with curved fullered blade (pitted, tip damaged), wooden hilt with rounded bifurcated pommel (tufts missing), and tapering brass grip of circular section engraved with bands of foliate decoration; a South East Asian sword with slightly curved fullered blade and hilt with beaked horn grips held by copper mounts, in leather-covered wooden scabbard (leather incomplete) with silver locket embossed with designs of foliage; three Nepalese kukris, two in their leather-covered scabbards (by-knives missing); an Indian axe-head crudely encrusted with brass decoration; a bronze dagger blade in excavated condition, probably Luristan, 1st Millenium B.C., with later silver hilt, the pommel embossed with a repeated leaf design; a small-sword blade (pitted, tip reduced) etched with a crowned lion rampant holding a falchion above 'London' on one side, and with an angel above 'London' on the other; two broadsword blades, one with incised decoration along the forte on both sides; two Victorian brass-hilted band swords of characteristic form; a stiletto dagger (blade pitted) with brass hilt cast with a standing male and female figure; an Indian leather-covered tulwar scabbard; a leather-covered broadsword scabbard (worn and damaged, chape detached) with tooled decoration; and an iron-mounted tubular wooden case (lid missing) covered in silk (worn and incomplete), probably 17th century (19) The first 45.4 cm. blade
