A GROUP OF FOB SEALS Comprising: seven suspended from a part watchchain, including a late 19th century example with fluted handle and reeded mount, the oval chalcedony matrix engraved with two putti beneath the inscription Il ny a place que pour moy , and three early 19th century examples - one three colour gold cased, the mount with floral decoration and vacant chalcedony matrix, the handle of twin cornucopia design with turquoise accents, one with openwork handle to an oval bloodstone matrix with engraved inscription, and one gold plated to a circular chalcedony matrix engraved with a hot air balloon beneath the inscription bon voyage ; and seven mounted on a split ring, including a 19th century swivel fob, the cornelian carved as a scarab, the base engraved with Pegasus, to a wirework handle, an early 19th century gold cased example with reeded looped handle to a cushion shaped citrine matrix engraved with the profile of a bearded gentleman, and one with gold plated floral design mount to a rounded rectangular chalcedony matrix engraved with a classical male profile (2)
