A GROUP OF ROMAN GLASS VESSELS 1ST-5TH CENTURY A.D. Comprising a large clear footed beaker with projecting lower body flaring upwards to a wide mouth, the body decorated with multiple encircling wheel-cut lines, 5¼ in. (13.3 cm.) high; a translucent globular beaker with everted ground-down rim and wheel-cut lines around the body, side hole, 3½ in. (8.9 cm.) high; a clear bottle with tapering cylindrical neck and thick folded rim, the body decorated with wheel-cut encircling lines, 75/8 in. (19.3 cm.) high, all 1st Century A.D.; a translucent jug with octagonal-sided body, a trail under the flaring rim, with ribbed strap handle and mould-blown linear motif on the base, neck repaired, 1st-2nd Century A.D., 57/8 in. (14.9 cm.) high; a clear bottle with conical body and tall tapering neck, the body with a double frieze of wavy threads, a trail around the neck, circa 3rd Century A.D., 7 in. (17.8 cm.) high; a green trefoil-lipped jug with diagonally ribbed body and trail around the neck, 4th Century A.D., 61/8 in. (15.6 cm.) high; and a green footed flask with twin double-looped vertical side handles, circa 4th-5th Century A.D., 53/8 in. (13.7 cm.) high, some with iridescence (7)
