A group of rugs and runners, Persia comprising of a Bakhtiari rug, West Persia, circa 1940, with central medallion on red ground, with blue outer field (approx. 204 by 149cm; 6ft. 8in., 4ft. 10in. (illustrated), with a Kurdish runner, Northwest Persia, circa 1930, with royal blue ground, with narrow banded ivory and blue border (approx. 296 by 160cm; 9ft. 8in., 5ft. 3in.) (illustrated), together with a Kilim runner, Anatolia, circa 1930, of geometric design, with three rows of joined polychrome coloured lozenges against a vermillion red ground, with a narrow border with lozenge and sphere motifs against a dark brown ground (378 by 110cm; 12ft. 5in., 3ft. 7in), and a Hamadan runner, West Persia, circa 1930, of geometric design, with a row of five linked polychrome coloured octagons against a blue ground, with a narrow border with alternating geometric motifs against a red ground (289cm by 113cm; 9ft 5in, 3ft 8in.), and a Kurdish small carpet, North Persia, circa 1880, with rectangular panels with central star motifs, surrounded by small repeat pattern of guls, isolated and joined, on a terracotta ground (approx. 279cm. by 154cm; 9ft. 2in., 5ft.)
