A group of seven medals awarded to Captain Alan Fitzroy Campbell O.B.E., R.N., comprising O.B.E., 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star with France and Germany bar, Italy Star, war medal, George VI Coronation and Elizabeth II Coronation with accompanying set of miniatures and medal ribbons, a further miniature George VI Coronation medal and a bronze Royal Life Saving Society medallion awarded to A.F. Campbell, Oct. 1919, Captain Alan Fitroy-Campbell O.B.E., R.N., was a gunnery specialist. He served as a mid-ship man in the battleship Ramillies in 1921, in battleship Nelson and cruiser Glasgow. He was gunnery officer of H.M.S. Nelson, the home fleet flagship in 1937. In 1941 Alan Campbell re-joined the home fleet at Scapa as Fleet Gunnery Officer and was in the action against the Bismark.
