A group of seven Roman and Sasanian intaglios Circa 2nd-6th Centuries A.D. Including seven Roman intaglios, one of green jasper engraved with the standing figure of Mercury holding the caduceus, 11mm; one of feldspar depicting Athena holding her spear, with Victory in her left hand, 12mm; a carnelian example engraved with a standing figure of Mars, helmetted and holding a shield, Victory in his right hand, 17mm; a cream agate example depicting winged Victory, 15mm; another of green agate depicting Zeus seated with Victory in his left hand, 14mm; another of chalcedony engraved with a standing naked male figure, 16mm; a Sasanian lapis lazuli intaglio engraved with a quadruped and a Pahlavi inscription, 10mm; an Ancient Near Eastern chalcedony stamp seal, the underside engraved with a bird, pierced, circa 1st Millennium B.C. 13mm long; and a red jasper intaglio carved with a profile male head, possibly Not Ancient 17mm; (9)
