PETERSBURG, PERIOD OF ALEXANDER II Comprising ten dessert plates, each circular with undulating rim, the white centers painted with various wooded scenes of huntsmen and animals, the green trellis and gilt scroll border with floral sprays at intervals; two compotes, each formed as a vine leaf on a spreading parcel-gilt spiral fluted socle, the centers similarly decorated, the base simulating a flower stem, marked under bases with green underglaze and overglaze factory marks The plates 9½ in.
