A GROUP OF THIRTY-FOUR SILVER-MOUNTED GLASS, HARDSTONE AND STONEWARE MATCH STRIKERS VARIOUS DATES AND MAKERS, LATE 19TH/20TH CENTURY Comprising:- a red reeded glass combination striker and cigar holder; a glass owl, London, 1904; three combination match-strikers and ashtrays, one of which is all silver, Birmingham, 1930, one by Ackroyd Rhodes, Sheffield, 1909; a white stoneware example; a crackled glass example; a larger green example with green reeding; a pair of green hardstone examples; a Majolica example with mottled green and brown base; a Doulton & Lambeth stoneware example with hunters and hounds, London, 1898; a green stoneware 'Carlton Ware' example with fruiting vine; two clear glass examples on square and scroll feet respectively; 15 reeded clear glass examples with one engraved 'Matches' and another with 'Schweppes Table Waters '; a red vitrified glass example; a cut-glass example and a smooth glass example; and a waisted example The largest 6 ½ in. (16.5 cm.) high
