A group of twelve gelatin silver prints by Edward Weston (1886-1958 Carmel, CA) Print Comprising: two identical portraits of a young man, each signed and dated in ink on the folio backing paper lower left: Weston - 1912, each 5.75'' H x 4'' W; two marriage portraits of the same man and woman, two photos mounted into one folio, folios stamped with Weston's Tropico studio stamp, the man 5.75'' H x 4'' W, the woman seated 6.5'' H x 4.5'' W, the woman standing 6.5'' H x 3.25'' W, 2 pcs; portrait of a standing child, signed, inscribed and dated in ink on the folio backing paper lower right: Weston - Tropico - 1911 -, 6'' H x 3.5'' W; portrait of a woman in profile, signed and dated in ink on the folio backing paper lower left: Weston - 1912; portrait of Esther Lois Jones signed and dated in ink on the folio backing paper lower right: Weston - 1912; portrait of a mother and baby Margaret, signed in the image upper left: Weston; portrait of a young woman, unsigned, dated in pencil along the lower center edge: 1911; and Portrait of Charles Clifton Chase, unsigned; 10 pcs, Provenance: The Hastings Family Collection, La Canada, CA. Condition: Each: Generally good condition. The upper edges tipped to the back folio mats. All retaining the original folios, some with the artist's signature and date. Some with minor scattered nibbles to the edges. Portrait of a young woman: extensive staining throughout the background. Loose in the folio. Portrait of a mother and baby Margaret: a few scattered losses and scratches to the left and right of the mother and throughout. The photograph mounted to backing paper but lacking folio. Portrait of Charles Clifton Chase: Tack holes in the upper center. The lower right corner missing. The image out of focus. Loose in a folio.
