A HAGI-WARE CHAWAN [TEA BOWL] Edo Period (17th Century) The high-sided slightly ribbed bowl decorated with a pinkish brown glaze darkening to one side and with a wide slip depicting a crescent moon, ring foot, gold lacquer repairs to rim, fitted box with title inscribed by Kobori Masafusa (Sozui) and attestation by Kobori Somei 5in. (12.7cm.) diam.
