19th century, the helmet 18th century Comprising a russet iron momonari kabuto mounted with an unusual five-lame Hineno-style shikoro separated into three pendant sections, the top lame ternminating in small fukigaeshi decorated with the heraldic crest of the Hori family in gold lacquer, the front fitted with a gilt-wood and silver Buddhist ken maedate; the hanbo ith two cord pegs and a three-lame solid-plate yodarekake, all lacquered glossy black; ni-mai yokohagi okegawa do applied with black pebbled leather and a large central Hori family crest in gilt-leather raised in relief, the top and bottom sections with free-moving plates laced in vertical and cross-knot lacing (in lieu of kusazuri), the munaita and wakiita applied with stenciled doe skin and trimmed with copper fukurin carved with scrolling vines, the shoulder straps of the cuirass mounted with solid-plate ko-sode, gilt-metal towel rings applied to the front of the cuirass; chain mail and splint kote with hinged tsubo plates on the forearms; chain mail and splint haidate; shino suneate; one armor box and one armor stand
