Lange & Söhne, Glashütte b/Dresden, no. 19'389, sold to Dürrstein & Co., Dresden on 6 October 1887 for the sum of 1568 Marks Movement: manual, 1A quality, cal. 43, jewelled to the centre wheel, some with gold chatons, Lange’s balance with gold and platinum screws, gold lever and escape wheel, diamond endstone, hand-engraved balance cock, Grossmann’s micrometer adjustment, bevelled steel chronograph work, repeating with two polished steel hammers on two gongs Dial: white enamel, Arabic numerals, red five minute numerals, outer fifths of a second track, subsidiary dials for seconds and date, gold Louis XV hands Case: “Louis XV à goutte”, four-body, polished, front cover engraved with foliate monogram beneath a coronet, repeat slide and chronograph button in the band, gold cuvette over gold-rimmed glazed cover Signed: case, dial and movement Dimensions: 58 mm. diam.
