A large Dutch brass mounted ebony repeating table clock, Jan van Meurs, movement second quarter 18th century, case 19th century 29-cm engraved brass dial with matted centre, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Jan van Meurs Amsterdam, foliate pierced hands and foliate spandrels, apertures for date, day and moonphase in the arch, fusee movement with verge escapement similarly signed on the foliate engraved backplate, trip repeating Dutch half hour striking on alternating bells, custom made ebony veneered case with bell top surmounted by a pierced brass gallery and five urn finials, break arch glazed front and back door, brass handles over glazed sides, moulded plinth raised on brass feet, inside labelled for Camerer Kuss & Co. height 77cm
