A LARGE GROUP OF MISCELLANEOUS ANTIQUITIES 2ND MILLENNIUM B.C. AND LATER Including a Coptic wool and linen tunic fragment, depicting a dancing couple within a decorated arched niche, a similar single figure to the left on separate fragment, the figures depicted nude with fillets and tambourines, with foliate trails, above a frieze with two profile busts within roundels, the neck selvage edged with double red cord, a zigzag band below, red and brown wool on undyed linen ground, mounted, framed and glazed, 5th-6th Century A.D., 9½ x 7¼ in. (23.5 x 18.4 cm.) max.; three fragmentary Near Eastern pottery bricks with remains of stamped cuneiform inscriptions, 1st millennium B.C., one with wood box frame; a Peruvian Chimu-Inca ceremonial bronze tumi, the bronze lunate blade with shaft surmounted by an erotic couple, 2nd millennium B.C., 4 3/8 in. (11.2 cm.) high; a large Luristan bronze adze with flattened angled horizontal blade, late 2nd millennium B.C., 6 5/8 in. (17 cm.) long; a Luristan bronze harness ring surmounted by a mouflon head with large curling horns joining flanking leonine heads, early 1st millennium B.C., 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) high; a Roman bronze crossbow fibula with knobbed terminals, niello inlay and traces of gilding, 2nd Century A.D., 3¼ in. (8.3 cm.) long; an Iberian bronze figure with right hand supporting vessel on head, mounted, 6th-5th Century B.C., 4¼ in. (10.9 cm.) high; an Egyptian bronze Osiris with suspension loop on base and rear, mounted, 6th-1st Century B.C., 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) high; a turquoise glazed composition amulet of the seated goddess Shentyt, with black wig and inscription on back column, Late Period, 6th-4th Century B.C., 2½ in.
