A large Japanese Satsuma baluster vase, 19th Century
A large Japanese Satsuma baluster vase, 19th Century with twin fixed-ring elephant-head handles, each with long bowed tassels moulded to the length of the body, the flaring rim with folding effect, painted to the body with two elegant ladies surrounded by young boys at play and before a large jardiniere of peonies, nine arhats with gilt halo's, and their attendants to the reverse side --45¼in. (115cm.) high.
