A large Napoleonic Prisoner of War bone model of 84 gun ship of the line

A large Napoleonic Prisoner of War bone model of 84 gun ship of the line ca. 1800 the hull planked and pinned in bone with three strakes in baleen, gun ports, a painted and polychromed figurehead; carved, pierced and painted quarter galleries and transom, chainplates, and the deck also planked and pinned and detailed with anchors, catheads, pin and fife rails, capstan, belfry, railings, deck hatches, double wheel, railings, and other details. Rigged with a bowsprit, three masts, cross spars, stun'sail booms, standing and running rigging, and other rigging details. Displayed on a pair of mahogany cradles with block and tackle ties with a glass case and mahogany base. 26 x 30 in. (66 x 76.2 cm.) model.
