A large Royal Worcester vase dated 1863, of ovoid form, painted probably by Joseph Williams with a detailed Italian landscape titled 'Pallanza, Laco Maggiore', depicting the lakeside town before mountains, within a gilded laurel wreath border on a rich blue ground, the handles formed as confronting snakes issuing from bearded faun masks, printed marks, the cover lacking, 30cm. Provenance: the Robert and Celia Morris Collection.
