A large scale model of the yacht Meteor Anonymous (American, 20th century) A full hull model of this famous racing schooner owned by the Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany. This model with white topsides, a gold cove stripe, a black waterline and a dark rust bottom. The model has a scored mahogany deck and is fitted with deck structures and cabins. The model is well detailed with cleats, stove pipe, coils of line, two boats on davits, binnacle, double ships wheel, and numerous other details. The model is rigged with two masts with upper and lower sections, spreaders, gaffs and booms, standing and running rigging including sidestays, running backstays, sheets, turning blocks, a full suit of cotton sails which have stitched panels, and flags from Imperial Germany, and the Emperor's private signal. The model is displayed on a pair of brass columns on a mahogany board. 58 x 9 x 54 in. (147.3 x 22.9 x 137.2 cm.) model on stand.
