A LATE VICTORIAN SILVER TWO-HANDLED PUNCH BOWL Mark of Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh 1896 With lion mask handles, fluting to the lower half and having a continuous band of scrolling foliage, repeated on the foot, inscribed inside the rim "Presented to J.V.Goddard Esq. by the Directors, Staff and Employees of Geo. L. Ashworth & Bros. Ltd. as a mark of esteem and to commemorate his Presidency of the B.P.M.F. and the bi-centenary of Miles Mason XIX Dec. MCMLII" -- 10½in. (27cm.) diameter -- 50oz. Together with an archival photograph of the trophy being presented at a Work's Party in December 1952, with J.S.Goddard pictured second from left.
