Beschreibung:

Lot consists of: (A) Colt 1877 Thunderer double action revolver with factory letter. Made 1883. Factory letter states this revolver shipped with a 6" barrel and blue finish on October 30,1883 to "Hartley and Graham/New York, New York". Standard 6" configuration with ejector. Top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co./HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A." Standard three line patent dates on the left side of the frame. Serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and butt all match. Round steel barrel with a non factory blade front sight. Blued finish on the barrel with a case hardened frame. Hard rubber grips with fine checkering. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with heavy wear and patina. Grips are good overall with wear to the checkering. Bore is lightly frosted with fair rifling left. Mechanically operable. Hammer is tight. Cylinder will not lock on every chamber, and will need work. (B) Colt 1877 Lightning double action revolver with factory letter. Made 1881. Factory letter states this revolver shipped with a 2 - 1/2" barrel and blue finish on May 27, 1882 to "Schoverling,Daly & Gales/New York, New York". Standard 2 - 1/2" sheriffs model. Top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co./HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A." Standard three line patent dates on the left side of the frame. Serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and butt all match. Round steel barrel with German silver half moon blade front sight. Blued finish on the barrel with a case hardened frame. Hard rubber grips with fine checkering. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with areas of wear and patina. Grips are very good overall with light wear to the checkering. Overall clean bore with sharp rifling left. Hammer is tight. Cylinder shows a small amount of play in the cylinder. Mechanically fine.
